Sh*t We Like: Week Of September 28th █♣█

In this segment, we will be highlighting things that we find dope, basically, things that we think you should check out. This will range from accounts we are following, music we are listening too, clothes we are wearing, and the products we are using, etc. Every Monday a different writer will be chiming in, so you’ll get a little taste of all our unique styles.

Without further ado, lets get into it.

What We’re Listening To: Big Boi & Phantogram – Big Grams

What better place to start, than some tunes for you to enjoy while reading this article? In seemingly little known news, Outkast LEGEND, Big Boi just dropped his collaborative effort with “electro-rock” duo, Phantogram. Perhaps, I’ve been living under a rock, but I hadn’t heard much about this project, and certainly not enough. With a few of the 7 tracks already released and singles, Big Grams as it’s known as, certainly got my attention from the first track, and after Friday’s release, might be in the running for sleeper project of the year. The project rightfully features awesome instrumentals, and eerie vocals, mashed with Big Boi’s iconic flow, to create perfect unison. Not to mention the additions of Run the Jewels and Skrillex, on the final 2 tracks, respectively.

Don’t expect to hear much about this album elsewhere, based on the generally quiet release, but look for a more in-depth look at Big Grams late this week when we speak on the best albums of September 2016. Stream the project below, via Spotify, as you skim thru the rest of the article, and be sure to support the drop on iTunes, here!

What We’re Rocking: The RLGT “403 vs. Everybody” City Culture Tee

Yes, the shirt is still swaggy. After last week’s overwhelming launch (leaving us sold out in less than 48 hours), this week the “403 vs. Everybody”, city culture tee, by yours truly, is still finding its way into the rotation by many. Printed on the finest American Apparel tee’s, this shirt represents every aspect of culture that the buzzing city of Calgary has to offer.

Miss out on your chance to cop? Don’t fret. The tee’s are being re-stocked as we speak, plus we have a pretty awesome chance at some exclusives coming later this week. Stay tuned. (In the meantime, pre-order, here)

Who We’re Following: OutfitGrid

Any frequent followers of the site will have probably noticed our submissions to a little thing called #OutfitGrid, during our weekly RLGT Style posts (#TBT). While cruizing the feed on the brand new @Redleafgoldteeth instagram account, @OutfitGrid is one of our favourites., based on showcasing people”s daily fits, layed out in a creative way that only someone with mild OCD could appreciate. Basically, you get ready for school, or work, or whatever, make sure you are looking swaggy, then strip down to your boxers, fold your clothes up nicely again, and take a picture of them in a way that will be visually appealing on Instagram. Seems fun right?

In all seriousness though, creating this cool little “grids” is actually super addicting, and a even if you don’t participate, its always awesome to see what people all around the world are rocking. You might even find some new brands to check out, or come up with new outfit combos that you had never considered before.

Check out a few of the best grids from the @outfitgrid account below, and even get a sneak peek at this week’s RLGT Style fit grid!

What We’re Watching: The League, Season 7

The funniest show that you probably haven’t heard of, The League, is back for its 7th and final season, and judging by the first 3 episodes is poised for greatness, like all before it. About a group of average joe, fantasy football league all-stars, The League focuses on the hilarity that ensues when you have a group of middle-aged adults with nothing better to do, than play fantasy football after-hours (basically, what all of our lives will look like in 7-10 years). Trust me, it’s really just something you have to watch to understand. Fans of BMS, or other absurd, slapstick comedies will love this show, hands-down. That plus a ton of great cameos, makes The League a perfect filler for any avid NFL fan.

All of the first 6 seasons are available on Netflix (in Canada), which will give you plenty of time to catch up before the “Lady MacArthurs” beat Andre in the series finale this year (my predictions). Check out a hilarious clip of the show below to see what I’m talking about. Even Marshawn loves the gang.
