In this segment we will be highlighting things that we find dope, that we think you should check out. This will range from accounts we are following, music we are listening too, clothes we are wearing, and the products we are using. Along the way, you’ll get a little taste of all our unique styles; Be a taste-maker, not a taste-tester.
Without further ado, lets get into it.
Sh*t We Like: January/ February 2016
What We’re Listening To: Wave God’s Mixtape
In a blatant attempt to keep Wiz Khalifa from subtweeting at him (jokes), French Montana linked up once again with long-time idol and rap legend Max B on his new tape Wave Gods. The tape debuted last Friday on DJ Khaled’s new Apple radio show, and is quite clearly a star-studded affair. With Nas, Future, Kanye West, Travis Scott, & Big Sean all making appearances (and that’s only the first 5 songs), bangers are imminent. Up and comer Kodak Black even assists on one of the standout tracks from the project, “Lock Jaw”.
Check out a stream of the project of the full project below, and cap the full tape over on HNHH for free! Haaaaaahn
What We’re Wearing: Killion
“Our conceptual approach to retail implements a disruptive effort against over-saturation upholding a philosophy opposed to mass-production, restocks, and markdowns to reinforce value.”
One of the dopest brands out right now, Killion, is taking a unique approach. Outlined loosely below, Killion has been dropping various 1-off capsule collections since 2014. The brand based out of Las Angeles, New York, and Seattle, has returned with an exclusive pre-order for their latest Standard Issue collection. Utilizing amazing quality, neutral colors, and innovative designs, plus a new store opening up in as Vegas, Killion is poised to continue making waves.
Peep a quick gallery of some of the latest Killion gear, and head over the website to shop and pre-order the latest collection, until Friday.
Where We’re Eating: Buttermilk Fine Waffles YYC
What do you get when you combine the tastiest possible breakfast food with all of your favourite child-hood bored games?
Buttermilk YYC on Calgary’s always buzzing 17th ave has perfected waffles, both sweet and savoury. Not only can you go and pick up a desert waffle ft. ice cream from Village Ice Cream, you can grab the gang and play a round of Battleship or Taboo while you’re at it. What could be better? (Hint: nothing)
What We’re Binging: Love
When we’re not repeatedly watching #DamnDaniel (because its funnier than “suhh dude”, facts), we’re binging Netflix. In slightly more sus news, Netflix’s newest original series Love is our current binge (jk, I finished all 10 episodes in 2 days). Starring Paul Rust and Lesley Arfin (of Community fame), and produced by Judd Apatow (40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up), Love is an annoying but hilarious experience throughout. Centering around the excruciatingly awkward escapades of lonely 30-something year-old’s Gus & Mickey, the show is perfect late-night binge material.
Check out a trailer of the new series below, and find all of season 1 on Netfix, now!
