Watch: Bas – Night Job ft. J. Cole

Set in the shadowy underbelly of the city, the Dream-team of Cole & Bassy blissfully spit bars while the lights flicker, the TV static shimmers, and the smoke billows.

In perhaps the most unfortunate turn of events for promising New York rapper Bas, the projected blue skies of March 4th, the drop date for his second studio album Too High To Riot, was promptly rained upon by becoming the surprise drop date from both Kendrick Lamar and 2Chainz & Lil Wayne.

Fortunately, not only was THTR an AMAZING body of work (no joke, this might be my favourite project of 2016 thus far), Bas returns today with the perfectly timed visuals for the highlight cut “Night Job”, ft. J. Cole. Originally placed on the Dreamville posse tape Revenge of the Dreamers 2 before finding a home on Bas’ project, the song  samples Jeremih’s 2014 track “No More”. Along with “Dopamine” and “Housewives”, the track serves as an anchor for the robust undertaking that is THTR.

I’m on my night job, flew the posse out to Rome and
Won’t tell you ’bout no Basquiats don’t want ’em

Nigga word to Selassie, I’m zonin’
I’m on my night job

Check out the video below, and be sure to stream Bas’ newest collection Too High To Right on most streaming sites now (And available on iTunes, now). Like I mentioned before, you won’t be disappointed!
